Description:
PLACE was tasked with transforming a forested property designated for community recreational space as well as designing the ultimate outdoor adventure experience (2.3 acres) for community members. This expansive nature inspired play area provides opportunities for rock wall climbing, axe throwing, a semi-enclosed archery range, performance stage and viewing area, a ropes challenge course, a paintball battleground, a mountain-bike loop, and a multi-stage zipline experience.
A corridor is also defined for sledding in winter for those brave enough to venture out onto the snowy hillside. Also, included in the master plan are an administrative building and formal entry with parking area. Design is still in the process of being refined and construction is anticipated to begin in 2023.
