Description:
Foxtail 5th Dino Park is part of the larger overall park system within the Foxtail residential developments and is 2.1 acres. This park is located across the street from Treaty Rock Elementary School. Park programming was identified for users in the 2-12 age group. Play opportunities within the park are dinosaur themed and include both active and passive opportunities.
Seating, pedestrian lighting, and a large shade structure were incorporated to provide comfortable observation by adults. Pedestrian walks incorporated “dinosaur track” imprints, and a dino-fossil dig area allows for children to explore their inner paleontologist. Custom park signage was designed to provide an aesthetic entry into the park and used as a template for upcoming park design to create a sense of branding within the community. A booster pump was necessary to ensure proper design pressure, and the irrigation system is managed using a major irrigation control platform that allows users to command control of programing for the overall park system and shared HOA spaces within the Foxtail developments.
