Mountain View Cemetery

Mountain View Cemetery sits at 12874 Cemetery Road in the Icicle Valley, a 9-acre city cemetery framed by evergreen ridges on every side. The first sections were platted in 1957. The developed north half is irrigated lawn and existing burial ground; the work in front of the city is the undeveloped ground that still has to become the next generation of plots.

PLACE Landscape Architecture was retained by the City of Leavenworth to take the 2022 Cemetery Master Plan into implementable design. The expansion includes a site survey, replatting and layout of new burial sections, lawn renovation and irrigation adjustments, foundations for cremains niches, and a landscape screen that keeps the maintenance building out of the public view of the grounds.
